1. Who We Are

Evenlogix is the publisher of SpendWise and the organization responsible for this Privacy Policy. SpendWise provides software for tracking personal expenses, budgets, categories, reports, and saving goals on your own device.

Because this version is offline-first, Evenlogix does not receive your expense history as part of ordinary app use. If you email us for support, we only see what you choose to send.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed when you:

• Download, install, or use the SpendWise Android or iOS application;
• Create or sign in to a local SpendWise account on a device;
• Visit this privacy page or other SpendWise-related pages on evenlogix.com;
• Contact us about SpendWise by email.

This policy does not apply to:

• Other Evenlogix products (including Rownd — Kameti Manager), which have their own privacy policy;
• Websites, products, or services operated by third parties that we do not control;
• Files you export and share yourself through the system share sheet, email, or cloud apps you choose.

In-app screens such as Privacy and FAQs summarize these practices. This page is the full public policy for store listings and legal requests.

4. Information We Collect

SpendWise is designed to collect only what is reasonably necessary to run the app on your device. Most information never leaves that device.

This version of SpendWise does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. The app does not upload usage telemetry to Evenlogix.

If you visit evenlogix.com, our website host may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) needed to operate and secure the site. That website processing is separate from SpendWise app data on your device.

4.3 Location information

SpendWise does not request continuous location access. Country/region is a setting you choose for formatting. Currency is a separate display preference and is not derived from GPS.

4.4 Information we do not collect

• We do not operate a public directory of SpendWise users.
• We do not collect bank account numbers, card numbers, IBANs, or wallet credentials.
• We do not collect government-issued identification for know-your-customer purposes.
• We do not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
• We do not sync your encrypted expense database to Evenlogix servers in this version.

5. How We Use Information

Information stored on your device is used to:

1. Provide the Service — showing your dashboard, expenses, budgets, reports, categories, and saving goals.
2. Authenticate you locally — signing in, switching local accounts on the same device, and confirming close-account requests.
3. Honor your preferences — theme, region formatting, and display currency (including approximate on-device conversion for display only).
4. Let you export records — creating CSV or Excel files you choose to share.

If you contact [email protected] or [email protected], we use the content of that message to respond to your request and to keep a record of support or privacy inquiries.

We do not use your financial records for behavioral advertising or to build advertising profiles.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

• Performance of a contract — providing the app functionality you request on your device.
• Legitimate interests — operating evenlogix.com securely and responding to support or privacy emails.
• Consent — optional actions such as picking a profile photo from your gallery or sharing an export.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law (for example, emails you send to us).

7. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information. Disclosure is limited as described below.

7.1 On your device

Financial records belong to the local account that created them. Multiple people can keep separate local accounts on one device. One account cannot view another account’s expenses, budgets, or goals.

7.2 Exports you initiate

If you export CSV or Excel, the file is created on the device and shared only through the system share sheet you select (for example email, messaging, or a cloud drive). Evenlogix does not upload those files.

7.3 App stores and platform services

Google Play and the Apple App Store process install, update, and (if you later purchase a paid plan) billing data under their own policies. SpendWise does not receive your full payment card details from those stores.

Profile photos use the device photo picker. The operating system’s Keystore or Keychain stores the database encryption key. Those platform components are governed by Google or Apple, not by this policy.

7.4 Legal, safety, and business transfers

We may disclose information we actually hold (such as support emails) when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request;
• Protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, Evenlogix, or the public;
• Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security incidents, or technical issues.

If SpendWise is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information Evenlogix holds about the product (not your on-device database) may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to protections consistent with this policy.

8. Data Retention

Financial records remain on the device for as long as the local account exists, or until you delete individual items in the app.

• Active local accounts — retained on the device while the account remains open.
• Closed accounts — after password confirmation, SpendWise permanently deletes that user’s expenses, budgets, goals, categories, and profile from the device. Other local accounts are unaffected.
• Uninstall — removing the app typically deletes the local database from that device, subject to OS backup behavior you control.
• Support emails — retained only as long as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations.

Because accounts are local-only, Evenlogix cannot remotely wipe a device or recover data after you close an account or uninstall the app.

9. Security

We implement technical measures designed to protect information stored by the app against unauthorized access on the device. These include, where appropriate:

• SQLCipher encryption of the local database at rest;
• Storage of the database encryption key in the platform secure store (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain), not in a plain file;
• Salted hashing of account passwords;
• No cloud sync of financial records in this version.

No method of storage is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, lock screen, and SpendWise password. If you forget your password, there is no remote reset — you may need to create a new local account.

10. International Data Transfers

Your SpendWise financial records stay on the device where you use the app. This version does not transfer that database to Evenlogix servers in another country.

If you contact us or visit evenlogix.com, our website and email infrastructure may process that correspondence in countries other than your own. When that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards with our service providers where required by law.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information, including the right to:

• Access — view your records in the app, or export CSV/Excel.
• Correction — edit expenses, budgets, goals, and profile details in the app.
• Deletion — delete items, or close the local account in Settings.
• Portability — export your expenses in CSV or Excel.
• Withdraw consent — stop using optional features such as a profile photo, or uninstall the app.

• Sign out — ends the session on the current device; data remains until you close the account

11.2 Account deletion and data requests

To delete a SpendWise account:

• In the app — open Settings → Close account and confirm with your password;
• By email — contact [email protected] if you have questions. We cannot remotely delete data we do not host.

We aim to respond to verified privacy emails within 30 days, or inform you if an extension is required. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If you believe a child has provided information through SpendWise in a way that involves Evenlogix (for example by emailing us), please contact [email protected]. We will take appropriate steps to investigate and delete information we hold where required.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on platform features we do not operate. Their privacy policies apply to those components:

• Google Play or the Apple App Store for distribution and updates;
• The device photo picker if you add a profile photo;
• Apps you choose in the system share sheet when exporting CSV or Excel.

SpendWise does not import messages from WhatsApp or other chat apps, and it does not connect to your bank.

14. Subscriptions

This version of SpendWise does not sell in-app subscriptions. If a paid plan is offered later through Google Play or the Apple App Store, payment would be processed solely by the applicable store under its own terms and privacy policy. We would update this section before charging for the Service.

15. Automated Decision-Making

SpendWise does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing. Budget progress, reports, and goal-pace reminders are calculations from data you enter. They are not credit scores, tax filings, or financial product approvals.

16. Region-Specific Information

16.1 Pakistan and other regions

SpendWise supports multiple display currencies and country formatting, including PKR and other locales. Currency conversion in the app is for display only, using rates bundled with the app — not a live bank feed. We apply the security practices described in this policy and continue to monitor applicable data-protection frameworks.

16.2 European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the rights described in Section 11. Our legal bases are set out in Section 6. To exercise rights that require Evenlogix (for example emails we hold), contact [email protected]. Access, correction, export, and deletion of financial records are available in the app because that data is stored on your device. You may also contact your local supervisory authority.

16.3 California, United States

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, including the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To submit a request about information Evenlogix holds, email [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or the Service.

When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page;
• Provide additional notice within the app where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, unless applicable law requires a different form of consent.
